We are looking for an Engineering Manager (Golang) - Logistics, Service (f/m/d) to join our Service Tribe in Logistics and lead the Chat Squad.

This squad owns a critical part of our ecosystem and communications between customers, riders, vendors and agents at Delivery Hero. We are looking for a leader for this squad that has a working product and we are planning to scale the system to more use cases and platforms.

Your main dish:

  • You will build our next-generation communications platform that will be used across all Logistics and by millions of people.

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, peer review, and adherence to coding standards.

  • Mentor engineers in skills development and help them develop.

  • Plan process and technology, improvement projects and influence other developers to collaborate on execution.

  • Work side by side with your Product Manager to maximize impact of our products

  • You build global systems which are used by millions of people and constantly drive for excellence.

  • You ensure all services are stable, reliable and scalable to our customer needs.

The ingredients you bring to the table:

  • At least 5 year experience in large-scale applications.

  • Golang expert in the context of distributed systems and services.

  • A rock-solid foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design).

  • Familiar with common monitoring / alerting / logging tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, ELK stack, distributed tracing.

  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.

  • Experience of working with AWS and Kubernetes.

Skills for Dessert:

  • Experience of splitting monoliths into smaller services.
